NEA-NH Recommends Whitley For Senate District 15

CONCORD, NH – August 26, 2020 – NEA-New Hampshire announced their recommendation of Becky Whitley for Senate District 15 today.

“Becky has been a tireless advocate for children and educators, committed to social justice and public service,” said Megan Tuttle, NEA-New Hampshire President. “She has the expertise and tenacity to be the strong force for public education our students need in the senate.”

NEA-NH will be working over the coming days to engage with the hundreds of its members across Senate District 15 about this recommendation and its importance of making their voices heard in the 2020 election.

“New Hampshire has a long history of committed educators and I’m so honored to have the support of the NEA-NH and the educators they represent across District 15,” said Whitely. “As a mom and engaged community member, I understand deeply how important strong public schools are to the economic future and prosperity of the Granite State. I also understand how New Hampshire’s current education funding system has left educators and students without the resources they need and had a divisive impact in our local communities. I’m committed to tackling New Hampshire’s school funding challenges and fighting for transformative change so all New Hampshire children have an equal opportunity to a quality education, regardless of zip code.”
