NEA-NH announced their recommendation of Sue Ford for Senate District 1 today.
“We’ve always maintained that educator voices should be heard as decisions are being made that impact our students and classrooms. As an educator of more than 40 years, Sue brings unique qualifications and background to the state Senate to help ensure that our public schools receive the help and support they deserve,” said Megan Tuttle, NEA-NH President.
During her time in the Legislature, Sue has consistently stood up for public education. She helped lead the effort to deliver additional funding for school districts and knows the importance of making our school system accessible to every student, regardless of family income or place of residence.
“I appreciate the endorsement of the NEA. As an Educator, I believe the best investment we can make in New Hampshire is for our children,” said Ford.
“We’re confident that Sue will be a Senator the North Country can count on because she understands the need to fix the way schools are funded in our state,” said Tuttle. “Sue knows the terrible burden downshifting costs to local taxpayers creates.”
