January 14 at 6 PM: Mindful Wintering

Join certified Wellness Coach Kelly Dwyer from Nature Education Opportunities for a dynamic and interactive workshop focused on: 1. A comprehensive understanding of the less obvious reasons WHY winter months can negatively affect our mood, energy and perceptions. 2. Strategies to develop a positive winter mindset-for this season and life’s challenging “seasons.” 3. Concrete tools to discover winter’s hidden joys and nourishing self-care rituals. 4. Create your personalized “Wintering Well” plan to welcome the change of seasons with energy, focus, and positive expectations. 1.5 hours.

What is grit? Do you have it? If not, can you learn it? We will discuss how important grit is in your personal and professional lives and what steps you can take to develop it in yourself, according to Angela Duckworth’s NY Times bestseller. 1 hour

Learn more about some the benefits and resources that come with being an NEA member. 1 hour

February 11 at 6 PM: Activating Assertiveness

How often do you say “yes” when you really want to say “no”? Join us to explore the practical and emotional benefits of assertiveness and what can get in our way. You’ll gain strategies to build this skill and practice what you learn. 1 hour

February 18 at 6 PM: Navigating Your Child's Teen Years

Adolescence can be a challenging time. Rules, communication, and honesty seem suddenly optional. Emotions are all over the map. The quest for identity and independence can mean scary risk-taking behavior. Join us to learn about what to expect and how to navigate this new stage together. 1 hour
