Your Rights & Workplace

We need the working conditions to succeed now—and ensure the next generation joins us.
We need and deserve fair salaries and benefits. We need and deserve safe workplaces that respect who we are and what we bring to our students. We need and deserve the right to demand change. Let’s redefine the workplace—together.
Together we have successfully raised wages, improved working conditions, protected our rights, and made sure our voices are heard.

Weingarten Rights & Due Process

As a public school employee you may encounter situations where disciplinary action is taken against you. Remember, you have rights and you need to use them.

An ESP holds a sign saying "rESPect!"
Until voters recognize what ESPs do every day to help their children succeed, they will continue to be under appreciated, underpaid, and over worked. Our hope is that through education, people will come to better understand the crucial role ESPs play in the lives of their children and be willing to give them the pay and benefits ESPs deserve.
