Letter from the President: Summer Gratitude

"Your dedication, creativity, and resilience have shaped classrooms and school buildings into places where students feel seen, supported, and inspired to grow."

As another school year comes to a close, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude for everything you’ve done. Your dedication, creativity, and resilience have shaped classrooms and school buildings into places where students feel seen, supported, and inspired to grow. Every interaction, every lesson taught, every challenge navigated, and every moment spent encouraging a student has made a lasting impact. You don’t always immediately see the impact you have made, but it is there.

Thank you for showing up with patience and purpose, for adapting to whatever the year brought, and for continuing to believe in the power of learning. The work you do matters deeply, and it reaches far beyond the walls of your classrooms, school buildings and busses.

For many of the children you work with, school is their safe space. It is a space where they know they will be fed, a place where they know they have a trusted adult to talk to and a place where they feel secure. For those students, the summer can be a hard time. Those are the students where your impact may not be seen immediately.

There is still summer school to be taught for some, workshops to attend and curriculum work to start for next year.

But, as summer begins, I hope you find time to rest, recharge, and enjoy the break you so fully deserve. May the months ahead bring you joy, renewal, and moments that remind you why your work is so meaningful.

Wishing you a wonderful and restorative summer and thank you for being you!
