by NEA Member Benefits

What could be better than tickets to Disney World? Discounted tickets, of course! Everyone loves a good deal—especially savvy educators—so imagine getting amazing prices on admission tickets and passes to events and attractions including Disney, Cirque de Soleil, Universal, Legoland and more.

Our new NEA Discount Tickets Program, which is powered by Entertainment Benefits Group (EBG), has specially negotiated ticket deals for NEA members on everything from amusement parks and ski resorts to Broadway shows and live concerts. Members can save up to 40% off of tickets to America’s most popular attractions.

We’re updating these offers regularly, so be sure to check back often!

How does the NEA Discount Tickets Program work?

This program is for NEA members, so you’ll need to register on our website first, if you haven’t already.

Visit the NEA Discount Tickets Program page and click the orange button near the top of the page. You’ll be prompted to log in if you haven’t already. Then you’ll be able to connect to the exclusive ticket-buying platform.

Once you’re there, you can access all the available deals. You can browse the offers by scrolling, or use the tabs at the top of the page to search by city or type of attraction.

When you find a city, attraction or event you’re interested in, click on it so you can learn more and make your purchase. You can find more information about the attraction, event or location under the Need Help tab.

You’ll see clear and transparent pricing with all taxes and fees disclosed before your final purchase. If extras are available, you’ll be able to add them on, such as the Disney Genie Plus, for example.

You’ll be notified if there are any specific reservation requirements as well as when and how your tickets will be delivered.

Keep in mind that many events sell out, so reserve your tickets as early as possible to get the best seats and options available.

Be sure to come back and check the NEA Discount Tickets Program often. The deals can come and go quickly, and you don’t want to miss out on discounted tickets to exciting attractions.

What kind of discounts will I find through the NEA Discount Tickets Program?

The NEA Discount Tickets Program is regularly updated with new deals and offers from a wide variety of popular companies and brands. For example, on any given day, you may find a deal to get tickets to Sesame Place or Hersheypark, movie passes to AMC Theaters and Regal Entertainment, tickets to baseball games, and passes to ski resorts in Utah and Vermont.

Ongoing promotions include getting $80 off Walt Disney World and 30% off Universal Studios Hollywood, for example.

You’ll also want to keep an eye out for Flash Sales. These come and go based on what the attraction can offer at a greater discount than what’s listed on its site. These are short-notice, fast turnaround deals to events such as football games, the Radio City Rockettes and more.

Under the Preferred Access tab, you’ll find an aggregated marketplace of various sellers to a range of large events, from music concerts to Monster Truck Jams to the Kentucky Derby—even sold-out events. Here, the seller determines prices, availability and how the ticket is transferred. There is a discount on these as well, but note that they are procured from a third-party reseller with multiple people in the marketplace, so we don’t control the pricing or delivery method.

Can I use the NEA discount directly at the box office?

No, you must buy all tickets through our NEA Discount Tickets platform to get the discounts we offer; you cannot receive the discount if you purchase your tickets at the on-site box office or attraction.

How and when will my tickets be delivered?

When you select the tickets you want to purchase, you’ll see instructions on how and when they’ll be delivered. In most cases, your tickets will be sent electronically via email, up to 24 hours after your purchase.

Be sure to read the delivery information carefully before you purchase to avoid surprises.

What if my event is canceled or postponed?

If your event has been canceled, you don’t need to take any action. If the tickets’ terms and conditions require a cash refund, your refund will be issued using the same method of payment you used for the purchase.

For all other cases of cancellation, you’ll receive a refund in the form of a credit—a credit voucher, gift card or gift certificate to use on your next purchase through NEA Discount Tickets Program.

If your event has been postponed, hold on to your tickets. As we receive more information about the rescheduled event, we will contact you via the email address you provided when you bought your tickets. Read emails carefully to understand how to request a refund if you can’t attend on the new date.

What if I’m unable to attend my event and need to cancel?

Unfortunately, we cannot provide refunds for unused tickets.

How can I help my fellow NEA members get these ticket discounts?

Share this information with your colleagues so they can take advantage of these exclusive NEA member discounts, too. An easy way is to use the social media links on the NEA Discount Tickets Program web page. You also can email the links in this article to your colleagues.

Can my family and friends use this benefit?

Only NEA members are eligible to participate directly in the NEA Discount Tickets Program by first logging into their NEA Member Benefits account online. However, as an NEA member, you can purchase tickets on behalf of anyone, using any credit card.

Keep in mind, though, that this could affect ticket pickup. For example, a box office may require the name of the person who will be picking up the tickets. Many venues require a photo ID to pick up tickets, so be sure to carefully review your specific event’s ticket delivery and pickup process.
