The NHFTL Children’s Fund is pleased to announce some exciting changes in our “On Course Fore Kids” Golf Classic!
This year the tournament is being held on Thursday, July 23, at beautiful Canterbury Woods Country Club in Canterbury, NH.
By moving from Candia to a more centrally located course, we are hoping to encourage greater participation from NEA-NH members, as well as their friends and families. We have even partnered with Holiday Inn to provide a reduced “Stay and Play” rate at their Concord hotel so players will be close to the course on the morning of the tournament.
The registration fee has been reduced to $95/player or $350/foursome.
If a foursome registers together it brings the per player cost to just $87.50. The registration fee includes a continental breakfast, 18 holes of golf with a cart, a “goodie” bag, and an awards luncheon. Being true educators who recognize effort and determination even if you can’t win, we award prizes for first, middle and last place!
In addition, players may purchase raffle tickets, a chance for a 50-50 putting contest prize, and several hole-in one prizes, including $10,000 cash and a car from Grappone Auto. All of the money from the raffles and contest entrance fees goes directly to the Children’s Fund.
As many of you are aware, the Children’s Fund is at a crossroads. Our requests for grants far exceed the funds we have.
The golf classic is our biggest fundraiser, and we are hoping to register over 100 players this year. We are asking for your help in two ways:
1) Please pledge a sponsorship at the highest level your budget will allow. If you have already pledged, THANK YOU!!
2) Register to play in the tournament. You don’t have to be much of a golfer (many in the tournament own their own clubs and that’s a close as they come to being a “real golfer”). If golf isn’t your thing, ask family members, friends, neighbors, or colleagues who do golf to register. In our experience, golfers are always excited to play for charitable organizations and are looking for new tournaments and causes to support.
The Children’s Fund needs you. Please take the time to help us help our NH public school kids!
