The Manchester Education Association (MEA) will hold a Red Out at the Mall of New Hampshire on Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 11:00 am-2:00 pm.
Members of the Association, all educators employed by the Manchester School District, will be in red attire and will be seated in the Food Court and other seating areas at the Mall of NH. The intent of this activity is to show the public that the work of the educators in Manchester does not stop at the closing bell of school. Educators take work home each and every day to prepare lessons, projects, grade papers and to complete other school-related responsibilities.
“We will be doing the work that we have brought home over the weekend at the Mall of NH to demonstrate our dedication to our students and to the craft of teaching. This is the work that we regularly complete at home, giving up family time to better serve the students of Manchester,” said Benjamin F. Dick, President of MEA.
MEA will have spokespersons available at the event.
