No Cost Violence Prevention Training and Curriculum Offered
Media Power Youth announced the launch of statewide violence prevention through media literacy program initiated by the Governor and funded through a grant from the Office of the NH Attorney General. With the support of the NH Department of Education, US Attorney’s Office, NH Association of School Principals, NH Pediatric Society and the NH School Counselor Association we are pleased to offer our upper elementary curriculum, Media Literacy for Safe and Healthy Choices to 4th, 5th, and 6th grade teachers and school professionals throughout the state at no cost.
“Our curriculum has been revised and includes bonus lessons as well as access to updated media.,” said Sarah Shanahan, Education & Training Manager for Media Power Youth.
The organization announced the first of our 8 teacher training workshops to be held in Concord on May 23rd. Other training dates and locations will be announced soon along with the launch of our online training. All training participants will receive 8 hours of professional development.
What: Free teacher training and curriculum for New Hampshire Teachers (lunch provided)
